Every wedding I shoot is another opportunity to meet new and interesting couples. I learn the story about who they are, what is important to them and how they want their wedding day to be. I could tell that Matt and Elena care deeply about each other, but throughout their wedding day, it became very apparent that they care very much about not only the friends and family they have, but about people and our world in general.
They had a perfect summer day with an incredible view of the mountains behind Ashland as their backdrop during the ceremony at Grizzly Peak Winery. The reception was held on the back lawn and as the day turned to evening, the white strung lights throughout the old trees made a romantic backdrop for dinner and dancing. It was such a treat to be able to shoot here for the first time. I had been to the winery a number of times for wine tasting and concerts on the back lawn, and thought how incredible it would be to shoot here. Well, it did not disappoint and the cherry on top was getting to work with such an incredible couple. Congratulations Matt and Elena!
