Applegate Ranch Weddings

Formerly known as the Summer House, Applegate Ranch in Grants Pass, Oregon had been a wedding venue for over 30 years before it closed in the early 2000's. Located at the head of the Applegate Wine Trail, the 63-acre ranch is a perfect location for your wedding day. It provides a bridal and groom getting ready suite, full kitchen, outdoor/indoor reception area, and beautiful ceremony area in the garden.

The newest owners of Applegate Ranch, Amy and Jesse purchased the property in 2020. The couple have been pouring their hearts into the beautiful remodel of this gem for the last 5 years and has quickly become the popular wedding venue it used to be!

As a photographer who shoots multiple weddings here every year, there are so many beautiful spaces to the property for perfect photo opportunities. Some of my favorites include the field with a perfect mountain sunset backdrop, the main getting ready suite with neutral colors and nice, natural light- and of course the ceremony area with old growth trees and a perfectly manicured garden area.

If you are interested in having your wedding at the Applegate Ranch, I recommend that you book as early as possible- dates fill up fast here. Also, I recommend that you have not only a lead photographer, but a 2nd photographer. The property is very large (the second getting ready suite is a 5 min walk away-uphill from the main area). With a 2nd photographer it allows for enough time to cover the second partner getting ready and be in a different area of the property for photos(especially if you are doing a first look).
