Sunset Engagement Session at East Turtle Bay

Updated: Dec 20, 2020

We had the most perfect summer evening at Turtle Bay Park- the temperature was under 90 degrees (which was surprising for being June in Redding) and we had the place almost to ourselves. As the sun started to set, I just knew that these engagement photos were going to be special. I love being able to do engagement sessions before the wedding day. We get to know each other, and the couple can get a good feel for what it's going to be like on their wedding day, as well as get more comfortable in front of the camera. Wedding days are always busy and many times very rushed. Engagement sessions give me and the couple a good chance to connect, and figure out what works for them. It also gives the couple an opportunity to bring up any insecurities they may have or ideas they want to try.

Most of my wedding packages include an engagement session. If you are interested in an engagement session, but do not want to commit to a wedding package, they are only $130 and can be applied towards a wedding package if you decide to purchase one.

I had been eyeing this amazing tree for a long time, and finally got to capture this beautiful image with it.

This log has become one of my favorite places to take photos. The light at sunset behind it is unbelievable.

I love the look on her face. So happy together.

I love to capture more natural, candid moments like these.

The last light of the day, with a starburst of sun left.
